Biomimicry Movements for Environmental Sovereignty in Popular Education Contexts

BIOMIMICRY WORKSHOPS LEAD

In November 2024, I was invited by designer Denis Toledo to participate in her Master's thesis research project in Communication-Education, focusing on the appropriation of science and technology by children from environmental education movements in Bogotá.

In collaboration with the Endémico Andino collective initiative 'Currucutus de la Montaña', various activities were designed to engage their children from the Alto Fucha community, introducing biomimicry and bionics through talks, workshops, and participatory design methodologies.

Additionally, the children were guided to participate in the 2024 Natural Robotics Contest.
