Vertice Festival - URL Design and Architecture School

INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER & BIOMIMICRY WORKSHOPS LEAD

In October 2024, I was invited to Guatemala by Universidad Rafael Landívar (URL) to participate in the Vértice Festival of Architecture and Design. This festival aims to introduce students to new ideas and projects in the world of design and architecture through conferences, events, talks, workshops, and activities. 

I delivered the festival’s opening talk as an international guest with the conference: “Co-Creating with Nature: Biodesign and Biomimicry for a Sustainable Future”.

Additionally, I led a nature-immersion biomimicry workshop at La Aurora Zoo with more than 100 industrial design students to explore biomimicry and apply it to industrial design, and additionally conducted INGENIUS, a biomimicry workshop and architectural design challenge for students from the Faculty of Architecture.
